The girls are out in New York City.

My best girl and I decided to take on New York.

Well, I was here for the Writer’s Digest Conference. The conference was amazing. It was great to share publishing techniques, writing, styles, and writing team archetypes – – who’s on your writing team– – with a group of eager soon-to-be novelists.
It was great to see my buddies, my agent, and the sites.

We had an amazing time at the Ripped Bodice and the Strand Bookstore, but the next images I’m showing are simply pure tourist/writer fun.

Elle celebrated her faux prom at the Russian Tea Room. We had breakfast at Tiffany’s. We ate pizza at Pazza Norte with Bookstagrammers. We enjoyed Central Park and The Met.

And as you can see, we dazzled with mini fashion looks because what else do you do in New York.

Queen of Exiles is a week old!

@ms_magazine is showing love to this new novel of an empowered lost queen!

And the celebration of Queen Louise and her princesses continues. Hopefully, I’ll see you at @mjudsonbooks or @44thand3rdbookseller or virtually @warwicksbooks or the library events to discuss Queen Louise’s journey: rebel, lover, mother, leader, survivor—all the aspects of a queen.
Each event is different, but all will be energized and lots of fun!

At National Bookclub, we will also discuss sleuthing out the bad guy while being Black in Regency London. I may have arcs of the Second Lady Worthing book. Who loves a good mystery?

I’ve been waiting all year to say my book is done and where’s that summer book tour. Well, one out of two….

All of the above. I’m firing up my Baldwin candle that smells of orange zest, juniper, and linen to fire up my senses as I draft my next manuscript.

Book club at a bookstore— who was the genius to combine my two favorite things? Stormy Night Bookclub in Snellville is a beautiful group of readers.

I had so much fun discussing Sister Mother Warrior, Gran Toya, and Marie-Claire. They chose favorites!!!

Lovely ladies.

Now to the bookstore. I have not had a shameless @barnesandnoble post in a while. BN never disappoints.

My first single title appeared on a BN shelf in 2020. To see so many of my books and how some are prominently displayed is an unparalleled feeling!!!

The staff at @bnsnellville is fantastic. As I waited for the book club meeting to start, they were building displays while offering customers great-reads selections. Multi-taskers!

Then as standard practice, I hunted for friends' books, sought the Christmas displays, and caught the latest In Bridgerton fare.
